New Chair Appointed for Healthwatch Sandwell
Amritpal Randhawa has been appointed as the new Chair of Healthwatch Sandwell, the independent patient champion for people who use health and social care.
She replaces Elizabeth Learoyd, who has been acting as Interim Chair.
Amritpal, who joined the Healthwatch Sandwell Board in 2024, is a retired, highly experienced nurse with 46 years of dedicated service within the NHS.
Amritpal said: “I am absolutely delighted to take on the role of Chair for Healthwatch Sandwell. This is a tremendous opportunity to work alongside a dedicated team, listening to the voices of our community and making sure they are at the heart of shaping health and social care services. I look forward to contributing to positive change, championing the needs of patients and service users, and ensuring that everyone’s experiences help drive better outcomes for all”.
