What is Community Development and Why Is It So Important?

Community development is a process whereby people come together to make the changes they feel are important. A community development strategy is the process where people in the community are empowered and encouraged to reach these goals. At its core, community development is based on the belief that everyone in that local community should have equal access to the health service, justice, wealth, and well-being.

This is, however, not an easy goal to reach.
